UK company signs contract for last available block offshore Uruguay

UK oil junior Challenger Energy has signed the contract for Block OFF-3 in Uruguay, the last available offshore area in the country, as operators seek potential analogies with giant finds on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in Namibia.

Block OFF-3 is estimated to hold gross resource potential of up to 2 billion barrels of oil.
